Position Summary

FMC Natatorium is seeking an experienced, part-time Swim Instructor to help children develop and improve their swimming skills. Instructors work with children ages 4–12, teaching swimming skills appropriate to each lesson level. Candidates must communicate effectively and interact positively with both students and parents.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, friendly, and positive swim experience for FMC members.
• Use swimming knowledge and instructional experience to help children develop their skills.
• Communicate effectively with children and parents.
• Maintain reliable availability for evening and weekend shifts.
• Become familiar with and promote FMC Natatorium programs and services.

Position Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous swimming or swim instruction experience required.
• Lifeguard certification preferred, but not required.
• Ability to swim 25 yards or meters without stopping.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within three months of hire.

Compensation

Salary is based on experience and availability.
