Private Swim Lessons - Coach Vlad:   $270.00  

Private Lessons with top-performing coaches for the competitive swimmer who needs additional coaching attention. 

Age restrictions:

  • Children must be 8 and older and must be on a competitive swim team.
  • Adults 21+

These packages consist of 3 one-hour lessons or 6 30-minute lessons for $270.00 and offer more scheduling flexibility.  

These coaches work with more competitive swimmers or those looking to improve their strokes/performance.  

You must know how to swim. The Coaches do not get in the pool, but coach from the side of the pool.  These lessons are not recommended for young children. Please see the age restrictions above


Coach Vlad has been swimming for twenty-three years, including four years in college. During his college career, he was recognized as the Freshman of the Year for 2014-2015 and the Swimmer of the Year for 2014-2015 at the Mid-South Conference. Coach Vlad also competed at the international stage in World Cups as a swimmer. Furthermore, he qualified for the Olympic Trials in 2012 and 2016. After graduating from college with a bachelor's degree, Vlad coached athletes in Austin, TX. Later, he decided to pursue his master's degree while working as an assistant swimming coach for the Men's & Women's Swimming team at King University. During this time, he played a key role in the team's achievement of a top 3 ranking at the Conference Carolinas.

Conditioning Camp for 10 and Under USA Swimmers


Looking for a place to train during the off-season to keep in swim shape until the short course season begins again?  We are offering a four (4) day camp that involves in -water training workouts to improve stroke technique with a combination of drills, skills and conditioning. 


Session 2:  Coach John

Time: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM


Session 3:  Coach John 

Date:  Monday, March 20th - Thursday, March 23rd

Private Swim Lessons - Coach Ari:   $270.00  

Private Swim Lessons - Coach Ari

Private lesson with Coach Ari costs $90 for 1 hour or $45 for 30 min.  

Please indicate which package below. This punch pass gives you three (3) one hour lessons for $270 or six (6) 30 minute lessons.
 After the purchase is complete, Coach Ari will contact you to set up a time for your private lesson.  Coach Ari will teach children only.


*Please note: this instructor coaches from the side of the pool. Swimmers must be able to swim full lengths of the pool independently.


This instructor is not eligible for Westmont Park District resident discount


Coach Ari started like most swimmers at the age of 8 years old in the summer leagues enjoying being part of the Naperville Otters. The following year she joined year around swimming with Fox Valley Swim Team, and trainer there until her senior year of High School. During this time Ari also swam 4 years at Neuqua Valley High School. She was the live wire on the team, always positive, smiling, and bringing out the better side of her teammates. Ari’s coaching career began where it all started with the Otters Swim Team as an assistant Coach. A few years later she became the Head Coach of Ashbury Swim Team, with over 150 swimmers. Prior to joining FMC Aquatic Swim Team, she was a coach at FOX as an assistant coach primarily coaching the 11-12, & 13-14 age groups. Currently, Ari is an assistant high school coach for the girls swim team at Oswego High School.

Coach Rob Busby brings more than 20 years of coaching experience at the age group and senior level. He has had incredible success coaching and developing all levels of swimmers, from new age group swimmers to National and Olympic trial qualifiers. Coach Rob got his start coaching for a summer league team in Belleville during high school. His first year-round job was with the Champaign County YMCA while attending the University of Illinois, where he received a degree in economics. Upon graduating from the U of I, Coach Rob returned to the St. Louis area to obtain a teaching certificate in secondary education at Lindenwood University. During this time, he volunteered at a club in Belleville for two summers before returning to the pool deck year-round as the 8&U coach for the YMCA of Southwest Illinois. Coach Rob then joined the Edwardsville YMCA as the head age group coach and senior assistant coach for two years. Following Edwardsville, Coach Rob moved to the Springfield YMCA in 2010 where he served as the Head Coach for nearly a decade.

It is ideal for students who may consider competitive swimming and even those who just enjoy the benefits of swimming. The class will focus on stroke technique while improving swim endurance.
